Us Media was approached in 2009 to help redesign and improve contained a large amount of good information for its audience, but it needed to become more organized, structured and made “findable”.

The goal of is to be the central hub of information and communication.

Us Media conceptualized, designed and developed a new website platform. The open-source CMS Drupal was chosen to help reorganize the existing content and create new functionality and sections. The new site was launched in 2010 and as an Agile project, it is continuously improved upon in terms of usability, new features and new campaigns.

Diabetesfonds has the #1 website of all charitable organizations in the Netherlands. These are the findings in a recent article of newspaper Trouw, based on research of OnlineResults. OnlineResults judged the nation's charity websites on seven categories: Reliability, Findability, User Friendliness, Readability, Accessibility, Interactivity and Social Media. The site was praised for its clarity, call for feedback and usage of social media.

Constant improvements

The website remains in a state of “amend and adapt”, which means that based on legislation, metrics, and SEO monitoring, improvements are applied on a continuous basis. This includes frequent A-B testing for campaigns and fundraising features.

The fall 2013 update will include optimizations for mobile devices (e.g. phones and tablets) and integration of CRM facilities.
