The mission of Terre des Hommes (TdH) is to stop child exploitation worldwide, by protecting children and giving them a voice. The website plays an important role in this. After adjusting the the strategy and visual identity in 2023, it was time for a revision of terredeshommes.nl. The outdated and error-prone back-end system also received a major upgrade.
two new websites
Terre des Hommes had a Dutch and an English website that were identical in content, but with different target groups. us. suggested developing not one but two new websites, so that the content per site could be exactly tailored to the relevant target group(s). A Dutch-language website with a focus on lead generation and fundraising from Dutch consumers and an English website aimed at international target audiences.
a challenging transformation
A major challenge was the wish to innovate the back-end in parallel with the redevelopment of the website, so that fundraisers can more easily carry out relevant retention campaigns. The project became a complete transformation, with the following components:
CRM & financial data with Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud and Findock
The foundation of the new system is the integration of Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud and Findock with the website, including our forms solution. Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud offers an extensive CRM system for managing donor relationships, tracking interactions and streamlining fundraising efforts. Findock seamlessly integrates with Salesforce and provides robust financial management, by accurately processing financial transactions and providing detailed reports. This integration creates a unified platform that connects donor engagement with financial accountability.
marketing automation with Marketing Cloud
To increase donor engagement and improve fundraising effectiveness, us. integrated Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This powerful platform for marketing automation enables Terre des Hommes to communicate with donors and leads in a personalized and targeted manner.
online fundraising and forms platform
The forms solution from our NGO suite is a crucial part of the new website. This platform gives fundraisers all the tools to independently run online campaigns and combine them with flexible and fully customizable donation and campaign forms. The forms seamlessly link with the Salesforce Non Profit Cloud, Findock and Marketing cloud.
modern cloud infrastructure
us. implemented a scalable hosting architecture on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). This infrastructure provides Terre des Hommes with a secure and scalable foundation, hosted in European data centers to comply with GDPR and ISO certifications. This modern cloud approach guarantees high availability, robust security and the ability to handle future growth in online traffic and donations.

us. assisted and advised Terre des Hommes in maximizing their new CMS, WordPress Gutenberg. This included the migration of all essential forms, support with entering and migrating existing content and ensuring that all possibilities are optimally utilized.

With us. as a committed partner, Terre des Hommes is assured of continuous optimization. Both new websites show a clear focus and the new strategy and visual identity are optimally expressed. The Dutch website is now a powerful tool for fundraising, with the possibility for the Client teams to quickly respond to current events through campaigns and content. The English website effectively positions Terre des Hommes as a thought leader for an international audience.
