dynamic online platform full of stories.
A data-driven website that touches and binds more people – with more space for fundraising and marketing.

passing on natural and cultural heritage
Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen (GLK) is one of the twelve provincial Landscapes. With 150 nature reserves and 36 castles, GLK keeps the natural and cultural heritage alive and passes it on to future generations.
A new, data-driven website should touch and bind more people personally – with an improved user experience, clear positioning and strong technical functionalities.
inviting more people to support GLK
The new website should invite more people to support GLK and so strengthen the organisation's financial security. People with specific information needs as well as existing and potential friends and donors must be served optimally and with relevant content.
Unique to GLK is the relatively large amount of heritage under management: the castles. They are financially responsible themselves, have their own teams for activities, exploitation and ticketing, and maintain their own online content. So they had to get a prominent entrance on the site.
one central solution, for the castles too
us. provided custom interface design and functionalities, using the fundraising platform by us. as the basis for communication, campaigns, fundraising and external integrations.
The individual castle websites have been brought together in one central solution. This has significantly improved accessibility and management for the castles.
The website is the second in a series of landschap websites that us. developed in '21/'22. The structure initially developed for the Zuid-Hollands Landschap offered the nature organisations synergy and efficiency – while retaining their own identity and room for customisation, such as a separate crm connection per landscape.
be amazed and come back full of stories
GLK's brand promise – 'Be amazed and come back full of stories' – was given its full weight with the new website, partly through impressive imagery and user-friendly functionalities. Stories are made by heading out: walking, cycling, excursions and activities were therefore given a prominent place.
The user-friendly interactive map is the result of joint input and effort from the Landscapes of South Holland, Gelderland and Utrecht.
