nature and heritage need money and public support
Utrechts Landschap acquires new nature and heritage, and maintains and develops existing natural areas and buildings. That requires money and public support – and the website is the obvious medium to grow the involvement of the public and donors.
Utrechts Landschap asked us. to develop a new, user-friendly online platform, with many new functionalities and a flexible cms.
'I want to…' as the start of the conversion funnel
With the new website, Utrechts Landschap wanted to focus on a better user experience, more effectiveness as a marketing instrument, automatic integrations with other systems and more flexibility.
Together we decided to fully commit to the 'I want to…' feature as the starting point of the conversion funnel, and to optimise the design, ux, navigation, seo and sea around it.
the third in a series of landscape websites
The Utrechts Landschap website is the third in a series of landscape websites that us. developed in '21/'22, following the online platforms for Zuid-Hollands Landschap and Geldersch Landschap & Kasteelen.
The structure and functionalities initially developed for Zuid-Hollands Landschap, and the choice of the us. fundraising platform as a basis, offered the nature organisations synergy and efficiency – while retaining their own identity and plenty of room for customisation. Each landscape website is linked to its own crm system, for example.
A user-friendly interactive map is the result of the joint input and effort of the three Landschappen.
fast, secure and scalable from the cloud
The platform runs entirely in the cloud on Amazon Web Services. Thanks to smart caching and optimal image delivery, the website is exceptionally fast – without compromising on quality, even with large visitor numbers.
The cms is based on WordPress, with custom work on top to make it run fast, secure and scalable from the AWS cloud. Real-time image processing by imgix ensures all images are always optimally displayed, in compression and cropping alike.
