Personal data we process
Us Media BV processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide it to us yourself.
Below you will find an overview of the personal data we process:
- What you enter in the contact form: name, organisation, email address, telephone number and the content of your message
- Data about your activities on our website
- Internet browser and device type
- IP address
Special and/or sensitive personal data we process
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years old, unless they have permission from parents or a guardian. However, we cannot check if a visitor is older than 16. We therefore advise parents to be involved in their children’s online activities to prevent data about children from being collected without parental consent. If you are convinced that we have collected personal data about a minor without such permission, please contact us via info@usmedia.nl, and we will delete this information.

Automated decision-making
Us Media BV does not make decisions based on automated processing about matters that could have (significant) consequences for individuals. These are decisions made by computer programs or systems without human involvement (e.g., an employee of Us Media BV). We use no computer programs or systems that make such decisions.
How long we retain personal data
Us Media BV does not retain your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We apply the following retention periods for the following (categories of) personal data:

Sharing of personal data with third parties
Us Media BV only provides data to third parties where this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you, to comply with a legal obligation, or for one of the purposes above. We conclude a data processing agreement with parties that process data on our behalf.

Not all of the parties above are active at the same moment, and that difference matters enough to spell out:
- LinkedIn is only loaded after you have given consent. If you do not, nothing is sent to LinkedIn.
- Google Analytics measures from your first visit, and places the analytics cookies in the table below while doing so. We do not ask for your consent beforehand: this is about understanding and improving our own website, and we do not use this data to follow you across other websites. If you choose “no, rather not” in the cookie notice, we switch Google Analytics off for you and no further analytics cookies are placed.
- The advertising features of Google Analytics become active only after you
have given consent. After that, Google may make a request to
doubleclick.netto add you to an advertising audience. - Google Maps loads the map on our contact page as an image, with or without consent. No cookie is placed, but Google does receive your IP address.
- Google Calendar only loads once you open the appointment window yourself.
- Brevo and Cloudflare Turnstile belong to the contact form and are used at the moment you submit it.
Cookies, or similar techniques, that we use
A cookie is a small text file that is stored in the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you visit this website.
By default we place a functional cookie — it remembers the choice you made in the cookie notice — and the analytics cookies of Google Analytics.
Advertising cookies are placed only after you have given consent for them: if you choose “no, rather not”, or make no choice, they are not placed. If you explicitly choose “no, rather not”, we switch off the analytics cookies as well.

Changing or withdrawing your choice
Your choice is kept for 30 days. After that we ask again. If you want to change
your choice sooner, you can delete the usmedia-cookies cookie via your browser
settings; the cookie notice will then appear again on your next visit. In the
same place you can block cookies in general or erase information stored earlier.

Access, modify, or delete data
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw any consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data by Us Media BV. Furthermore, you have the right to data portability, meaning you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we hold about you in a computer file to you or another organization specified by you.
You can send a request for access, correction, deletion, data transfer of your personal data, or a request to withdraw your consent or object to the processing of your personal data to info@usmedia.nl.
To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to include a copy of your identification document with your request. In this copy, please black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine-readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number, and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request as quickly as possible, but within four weeks.
Us Media BV would also like to inform you that you have the option to file a complaint with the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
